tree hollows
Once abandoned for more than forty years, this post-war home was given a second life by its new owners. Through a complete renovation— with a thoughtful room layout and a careful curation of materials and fixtures—the house was transformed into a tranquil haven. It sets the stage for family and friends to come together in moments of connection, while also providing cozy, private areas for independent retreat. With abundant connections to nature—from a multi-sliding patio door that opens seamlessly to the backyard, to picture windows that perfectly frame views of the surrounding trees in every room—the house fosters openness to the outdoors. At the same time, its emphasis on quality craftsmanship and meticulous attention to detail on the inside cultivates a sanctuary of peace and protection from the outside world.
Previously a gap in the fabric of neighborhood, the house is now reintegrated into the streetscape through a renovation that honors the scale and characters of its surroundings.
